Holliday Season comes with an avalanche of surprises with our digital advent calendar

We have designed a digital advent calendar this Christmas. The application is free and called “One Day One Christmas Gift”

Download the application for free on iTunes and all through December 24th you will receive a daily surprise! This is an original idea allowing you to discover Aquafadas software and our creative innovations on digital publishing.

As in a traditional advent calendar, the application allows you to wait for Christmas Day while receiving a daily gift. This can include a fun game, free applications or discounts on our desktop softwares. Exportez vos projets en EPUB 3, pour les diffuser directement sur l’iBooks d’Apple

La prochaine version de notre plugin pour Adobe InDesign permettra aux maquettistes et aux éditeurs de créer des documents au format EPUB 3 compatible avec l’iBooks d’Apple mais aussi avec d’autres canaux de distribution, directement depuis InDesign.

De plus, l’export au format EPUB 3 conservera – autant que possible – les enrichissements du document original. Ainsi les diaporamas, les vidéos, les sons et la lecture à voix haute pourront être exportés au format EPUB 3 en un seul clic.

Publish in EPUB 3! We support Apple iBooks with our Adobe® InDesign® plugins

The next version of our InDesign plugins will enable graphic designers and publishers to create EPUB 3 documents for iBooks directly from Aquafadas plugin for Adobe InDesign, without requiring knowledge of the EPUB 3 format. Moreover, the EPUB 3 export will maintain as many of the original enrichments as soon as possible: slideshows, videos, audio, read-aloud, and more will be transposed in EPUB 3 without requiring any additional work.

Our Digital Publishing System Supports iOS 5 and Newsstand

There is a lot of excitement everywhere about Apple® iOS5, the new version of iPhone and iPad Operating System, and Newsstand®, a folder that will organize your magazine and newspaper app subscriptions. And we are often asked what is our status on that and whether we will be Newsstand compatible. Well, it turns out that we are already Newsstand compatible and are testing the next release of AVE AppFactory (1.1) that will add Newsstand support.

Adding Newsstand support to your existing kiosks (or new kiosks) is as easy as:

  • making sure you pick a Newsstand enabled template
  • make sure you configure your app for notifications
  • create subscriptions because Newsstand is really targeted at apps with subscription models. Creating a subscription is almost as easy as creating an in-app item.
  • check the Newsstand option in the AVE AppFactory template and customize some behaviour.
  • submit an update to Apple.
